Ingredients of a fine dining restaurant – Introduction

This came up on an internet discussion and got me thinking, not only about the ingredients but the order of importance. Usually restaurants are first judged by the critics and the guides. Both do their research before visiting the venue and both have a logic in their walk through of the visit. The initial question was to come up with 5 things, but I couldn’t resist coming back with 6.

1 The Menu

2 Does the food match the menu ?

3 Does the wine match the food ?

4 How was the hospitality ?

5 Is there consistency ?

6 What about the other things ?
